New Program’s Mission To Reduce the Number of Animals Entering Shelters

Thinking about getting rid of your pet? You may want to check out this website first: www.HelpMeKeepMyPet.com.

The site’s mission is to reduce the number of animals entering into our shelters by providing education and resources to those who need them. Sometimes it is as simple as buying a bag of food or paying a pet deposit!

Help Me Keep My Pet was spearheaded by Texas Litter Control in partnership with Montgomery County Animal Shelter, The Montgomery County Spay Neuter Project, and the Bruce Kapp Animal Fund.

The help desk has been created to help pet owners in Harris, Montgomery and surrounding counties in Texas deal with the obstacles preventing them from keeping a pet. Your local animal shelter is a place of last resort.
