Jungle-themed fete at JW Marriott Houston Downtown to benefit BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions

Friday, August 21st sees a group of popular Houstonians (Chela Cobra, Tatiana Galitzine
and Martin Prendergast) team up with the JW Marriott Houston Downtown to throw a
one-of-a-kind birthday celebration in support of the BARC Foundation. BARC is the City
of Houston’s animal shelter and adoption facility.

Playing on the group’s Leo birthdays, the event will be called “Welcome To The Jungle”.
Houston’s best in music, art, and performance will collide for this once-in-a-lifetime
experience in a lush, jungle-inspired setting.

The JW Marriott Houston Downtown is housed on Main Street in what was Houston’s
first official skyscraper, The Carter Building, built in 1910. The hotel actively features
and supports local artists and besides being pet friendly, has taken this a step further
and adopted an 8-month-old mixed breed puppy. “Sir Griffin” is their new Director of
Pet Relations, and will be close at hand for the festivities and offering many special
surprises to the attendees.

100% of the event proceeds will go to benefit the BARC Foundation. BARC is the only
shelter in Houston required by law to accept every animal that comes through the doors
regardless of breed, temperament, health conditions, and circumstance. As a result,
resources are severely strained. Proceeds will specifically go towards their Fixin’
Houston spay and neuter clinic, and towards financing their new adoption center.

All animal lovers are invited to explore their animal within at what is sure to be the
single most spectacular event of the sweltering summer… Welcome to the Jungle…
Costumes encouraged. Cash Bar.
