Humane Lobby Day in Texas is March 20, 2015

Registration for Humane Lobby Day is now open! This event is a co-production of the Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN) & the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).

Please join the Texas Humane Legislation Network, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Humane Society of the United States, and fellow animal lovers from across the state on March 20, 2015 for Texas Humane Lobby Day.

This is your single biggest opportunity of the session to let state lawmakers know that you support common-sense animal protection laws. We have been successful in passing humane legislation in the past by teaching constituents to be citizen lobbyists who articulate the case against animal cruelty directly to the legislators that represent their district.

What is Humane Lobby Day about, and what can I expect?

* In the morning: Get “citizen lobbying” tips from THLN’s Legislative Chair Shelby Bobosky & HSUS Texas State Director Katie Jarl. Whether you are a seasoned advocate or brand new to lobbying for animals – it doesn’t matter –  we will walk you through the issues we are currently facing and show you how to make the case for humane legislation.

* At lunch time: gather with other advocates from across the state in the Capitol cafeteria. You’ll be inspired and empowered by breaking bread with others who care about animals as much as you do!

* In the afternoon: Meet face-to-face with your elected officials and/or their staff so you can tell them that you – as a constituent – care about protecting animals from cruelty.

* This event is FREE but you MUST RSVP by clicking here.

Mark your calendar now so you can make arrangements to join us for Humane Lobby Day on Friday, March 20, 2015. Remember, each person that attends improves the chances of passing new animal protection laws in Texas this session!
